The impossible – “what nobody can do until somebody does”

If you want to achieve something great, it is going to take a whole lot more than just a dream. It takes hard work and ACTION. It takes an unshakable determination to succeed. I believe you must start with a dream, but most importantly, you must have action to move towards your dream. You cannot wait around for your dreams to somehow magically materialize. Hate to break it to you, but your dreams will never come to fruition without action from YOU. That’s right – YOU. I didn’t say your mom, dad, spouse, best friend, etc… YOU. Without action, they are simply pie in the sky / pipe dreams. You gotta step out of your comfort zone… get uncomfortable… leave the naysayers behind… You must be willing to step up and put in the work that it is going to take to actually get there. I think that is why so few actually get where they want to go. They wait around for something to happen to them as if someone is just going to one day pop out of nowhere and hand them their dream on a silver platter. It doesn’t work that way, yet that is the plan of so so many. Average people dream of great accomplishments. Extraordinary people stay awake and take action. Dreams of bettering your world are just the beginning to your adventure.

Will you do WHATEVER it takes?

People do things based on their hierarchy of their values. You never have time/money for things that rank lowest on your value scale, but you always have time/money for whatever ranks highest. It’s interesting to me that some people will say they want something, but won’t do what it takes to get there. Recently, I spoke with a woman that said she wanted to get started in a business for herself to make more money. She was excited about starting, but didn’t have the start up money. Week after week she told me she was almost ready but it just kept dragging out longer and longer. It was always something new going on and always some golden excuse as to why she couldn’t get started. Every week she would say she would have it by next Saturday, then when Saturday would come, it was back to next Saturday. Before long a few months had passed and she was no better off than she was before. The business really wasn’t on her list of priorities. It wasn’t high on her hierarchy of values. A few days ago she came back to me said, “I’m sorry I really want to get started, but I just don’t have time or the money.” She always seemed to have money to go out on the town, see great movies, buy cool stuff and spend time partying, but never had the time/money to actually do something worthwhile for her future – especially building a business for herself. Her priorities were completely screwed up. I mean – Here she was telling me how much she needed a change in her life, but she wasn’t willing to do what it took to get there. The scariest thought here is this: This woman can literally fast forward her life 1-3-5 years… and guess what???? NOTHING will be different and she will always be broke wanting more! WOW – always wanting more but having no self discipline to do anything about it. NO BELIEF. NO POWER. NO HOPE.

If you want to do something great, it has to be high on your hierarchy of values and become a priority. You have to find your unbreakable “WHY”. The reason you will never ever quit till you get where you need to be! Otherwise, you’ll never get there —- WORSE yet…. you will never start.

Stop Kissing the Same Frogs…

Why is it???? We know someone is wrong for us, for our business for our lives in general —– BUT —— we keep kissing those frogs anyway????

We hope and pray they become the prince / princess we have been looking for weeks, months, even years…. only to realize…. we ended up wasting so much time and energy on them…. they almost take us outta the game completely – ONLY to realize the simple truth, you can’t change another person. No way… no how…

You gotta BELIEVE in yourself, get passionate, rise above and realize you can’t afford to kiss those frogs anymore and venture out to greener pastures for some new blood! Ya see – that’s the secret – get out there – leave em behind until they realize you don’t need them. THE REALITY is – you never needed them in the first place! You are a champion – all you have to do is find yourself and go for your dreams… find new blood…. look for the best in people…. work with the willing…. run with the runners…. jump off cliffs with the cliff divers and rocket to the top with the spaceship captains!!!

There is no rear view mirror in the space shuttle. You are either going to the moon or you are going nowhere stuck on the launchpad.

Stop kissing the same frogs – find new blood – get passionate – follow your dreams.

“If you are on the road to nowhere, FIND ANOTHER ROAD” – proverb somewhere… But hey! How true is that?

I see so many people stuck in their dreary dead end jobs, no security, n0 back up plans, nothing to look forward to. They are on the road to nowhere…. ending up with nothing…. Sometimes…. EVEN if they have a little something to look forward to… they are still living quiet lives of desperation… that could be you or someone you know right now!

What can ya do about it? Well… find another road! hahaha… It’s really the answer to everything… when one door closes… look for an open door. Opportunities don’t go away… they just go to someone else who’s ready to POUNCE on them… ARE you ready?

Minds are like parachutes — they work best when open. Don’t discount something you don’t understand or an opportunity because it’s not the NORM…. quick FYI – the NORM IS BROKEN. Did you get that? THE NORM IS BROKEN. I hope I don’t have to say it again…. You want some SOUND financial advice…. you better find a side business and you better find it quick. I have such a business and if you are interested in creating another $500 a month or tons more…. you can MSG me right here.

If you like sitting / laying on the couch – then I can guess your income within $5000. You will rise to the level of the top 5 people you hang around the most. ~Hazen Christensen

Zone change…

Step out of your comfort zone a little bit every day… before you know it… the box you used to keep yourself taped up in will be gone and you won’t remember why you “thought” you needed it in the first place. (Hazen Christensen)

Change is the only constant we have in this life. Now… take a minute and think about that. :) We fight and fight and fight against it but there is nothing that is more certain in our little existence. That’s right… I said little existence. There is a BIG world out there and most people don’t think outside of themselves or their communities enough to realize this simple fact.

So what’s so great about that box you have yourself sealed up inside? Why is it so comfortable? Here’s a quote from Dave Ramsay – “Not until the pain of the same is greater than the pain of change will you embrace change.” WOW. Did that sink in? I have said this for years and discussed people and their motivations with other industry leaders in business… when it comes right down to it… most people are living quiet lives of desperation and they don’t realize HOW simple it is to step outside that misery and become more.

You may be asking yourself – and many people do – Why can’t it all just be easy? Well the answer is a simple one – cause there’s no money, value or work involved in easy. Ha. :) I mean there isn’t. It’s simple …. not easy. BIG difference.

It might seem like it’s comfortable staying where you are…. it seems safe…. (What a joke in todays economy and world) What is safe anymore? The only safety anymore is in multiple streams of income and being your own boss. That’s it in my opinion. It might seem easy to sit there and stick to the same grind everyday… but I say… step out… see that world around you. Help someone besides yourself today and let that comfort zone slip away till it’s a distant memory.

Be Somebody…..after all….God didn’t take time to make a nobody!

Doors are made to be opened…

When opportunity is knocking – What do you do? What do you hear? What do you see? The same old “Walls”? Excuses usually interfere with the opening of the door to opportunity… These walls can even be be made of flesh – constantly holding us back or pushing us away. I will give you a minute to think about that one.

Change is difficult for most people. It’s the Universal Constant and yet again – most people struggle with change their entire lives. These “WALLS” or obstacles in life become our excuses. They turn a blind eye to the DOOR staring them in the face… I believe that these “Walls” are there to help us prove we WANT it. You gotta understand sorrow to understand happiness. You really have to search sometimes to find the doors of opportunity. Other times… they are sitting right in front of us.

We have all heard, “if it was easy, everyone would be doing it.” I don’t believe it’s always easy – but it’s simple. It’s not hard… it’s challenging. It’s not impossible – cause there’s a crack in that wall where the door will easily open. Change your mind… change your life.

Find the hidden DOOR or opportunity and don’t be afraid to open it. Don’t turn a blind eye to those doors due to fear. Worry and fear will keep you behind a wall the rest of your life. Isn’t it time to make a change?

Find and open new doors… Find opportunity and walk through to the other side of your life. You will never turn back.

Ya can’t settle in life or relationships- if someone won’t make time for you- that’s a clue Open new doors. HC

Are you a 5%er?

We have all heard of the 80/20 rule and then later the 90/10 rule? How about the top 5%er’s? Isn’t it really the 95/5 rule?

These are the people that no one seems to “get” because they are in the minority. (5% of people) They aren’t bandwagon people… they aren’t the majority rules people… they are the overnight success stories (BTW – overnight success is usually attained over 10 years or so) – the over achievers in our society. Isn’t that funny? The over achievers? Since when did achievement become OVER anything? Too much achievement is too much? It’s crazy if ya ask me.

However, people don’t surprise me anymore – Yahoo just released the top 10 searches of 2010:

Hope that made your jaw drop or made ya laugh… I mean, WOW. Nice to know so many people out there are making it SO simple for the top 5% to succeed. NOTICE: I didn’t say easy… I said simple. It’s all a matter of consistent effort and determination. I mean – if you are part of the 95% then there is NO where for the 5% to go – but UP. Right or Right?

What ever happened to hard work, ethics, personal development and mastery? Is it a thing of the past for the 95%er’s? OR is it the analogy of the Matrix and you haven’t realized your predicament yet? Or is it that you wanna stay SAFE and WARM in your pod of false or lost dreams and hopes?

We need some innovations, dreamers, hard workers, leaders, and people that just don’t care what the majority is doing. Maybe it’s time for you and your family to make a change. To get back to your dreams and make them a reality. Aren’t we living in the land of the free and the home of the brave? You can do anything you want to in this life – you just have to wake up and realize it – then you have to go to work.

Do today what others won’t – so tomorrow you can have what others don’t

There is no rear view mirror in a rocket…

I always say, “You can’t see where you’re going if you’re looking in the rear-view mirror. You have to look ahead through the windshield.” Don’t get caught up on the bugs either… ( that’s another entry )

Don’t focus on the past – it’s in the past. You learned from it, right? Move on and forget it. Your past experiences have made you who you are today, however your past can hold you back and hurt you as well.

It can be paralyzing… it can be hard… it is not always easy to leave the past behind but you HAVE to do it. If this is your current addiction – and yes – it is addicting to some people- I suggest you do whatever it takes to snap out of it.

Wallowing in misery has become a favorite past time for some people… even people you know – right? You know people like this… the volunteer victims? I know people in the business world that are like this. They have been hurt before… someone has done them wrong or they think they have been done wrong . They always think everyone is out to get them. How can they ever have a positive business or a positive influence on others with this mindset?

Live for the now – the present – and build for your future. It’s bright.
