simple-mirrorSometimes, in life, we need a LOT of direction…. WE need to know where we are starting in order to figure out where we are going….

To get from point A to point B – you really need to know the alphabet….  Life doesn’t come with an instruction book but we need reference points to figure things out. SO – the big question is – where are you?  Do you know where you are starting from?  Do you know where you want to go?  Do you like your job?  Would you like better hours?  Would you like more tax deductions?  Would you like to make more money?  YES …. everyone says yes… and why wouldn’t they?  I would say yes…. who isn’t looking for ways to do all those things?

I am a firm believer in network marketing and mlm companies for building businesses.  I know very wealthy people all over the country that literally tell their kids they have to join an MLM and build it up to a certain level. They have to run it like a business…. help people… and make a profit.  Their kids learn the the ropes with a minimal investment into the legitimate world of networking marketing.  Here is a great company to view: Visalus Sciences Killer health and wellness benefits and the doctors behind the companies are even better.  NOW — why would these masters of industry have their kids join these companies?  To quote a friend of mine, “Because I want my kids to be able to run a company before they take over for me!”   WOW… that’s a powerful statement for the industry.  I have performed well in this industry because I like to help people and I know how to build a successful team.  I am currently working with the two companies I mentioned before.  They are new… and very powerful for income production and I KNOW what it takes in this industry.  Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki and Warren Buffet are all major backers of the network marketing industry…. do you know more than they do?  What are we all missing out on?

It’s simple….. You have to know where you are…. to get where you want to go.  You have to realize it’s a game of inches.  You have to realize it’s not easy but easier than anything you have done before.  Success is easier than failure.  You have to go for it…. why not?

That sounds crazy right? No one likes to admit it… but… there it is… What’s in it for me???  Just a month or so ago, I was shopping for a computer. I went to several locations and talked to several people. I noticed the same sales and marketing mistakes at all of the locations. These stores could spout off all of the great features and how one computer was faster than the other, but they didn’t focus on the one thing that mattered to me most: WHAT IT COULD DO FOR ME. Why didn’t they ask me what I was going to be doing with it? Why didn’t they ask me what I wanted to accomplish with it?

Consumers today do not care about features of your product. They care about benefits and how those features make them feel. They care about how the features are going to benefit their lives. Does it make them happier, more productive, sexier etc. Honestly, they only care about themselves!!!  Right or Right???

Stop selling features and start selling benefits. To help you get started, here is an example:

Feature: 500 Gig hard drive.

Benefit: With a 500 Gig hard drive you will never lose those family memories of your son playing baseball again. Or with a 500 Gig hard drive you’ll never run out of space for your music or movies.

You want the benefits to paint a picture in the person’s mind about your product. You want them to see themselves using the product and it making their life easier, better, more productive etc. By selling benefits over features you are hitting areas that matter to that individual person… and above all – it connects them on an emotional level with your product or service.

The other day I spoke with a friend who was having a hard time financially. This person, was working himself to death and never seemed to improve his situation. He would work harder and harder only to see his finances get smaller everyday. He was complaining to me how much he hated being poor.

So I asked him what he was doing to improve his finances. He gave me excuse after excuse. Saying how it just wasn’t in the cards for him. His boss was a jerk. He didn’t have money, energy or time to change anything. He blamed his situation on everything but the one root cause: HIMSELF.

There are millions of people like him in this world. They go around thinking that the only thing for them is hard work and more poverty. The truth is that these same people are carrying within them untold fortunes of wealth that is beyond their wildest dreams. Their thinking has shut them off to this abundant supply and it gets buried deep within them never to be explored. If you constantly think you will be poor all of your life, you will be. Wealth cannot come to a person who doesn’t search for it or who thinks they cannot have it. It reminds me of a man who steps on the hose while watering his garden without realizing it. Water was readily available to him but only one thing was at fault, the man himself was pinching the hose and limiting the water flow.

You are your limitations. Your life is the excuses you allow yourself to believe. Like attracts like. If you believe you will be poor you will be. If you believe you will be rich you will find a way to get there.
