I always say, “You can’t see where you’re going if you’re looking in the rear-view mirror. You have to look ahead through the windshield.” Don’t get caught up on the bugs either… ( that’s another entry
)
Don’t focus on the past – it’s in the past. You learned from it, right? Move on and forget it. Your past experiences have made you who you are today, however your past can hold you back and hurt you as well.
It can be paralyzing… it can be hard… it is not always easy to leave the past behind but you HAVE to do it. If this is your current addiction – and yes – it is addicting to some people- I suggest you do whatever it takes to snap out of it.
Wallowing in misery has become a favorite past time for some people… even people you know – right? You know people like this… the volunteer victims? I know people in the business world that are like this. They have been hurt before… someone has done them wrong or they think they have been done wrong
. They always think everyone is out to get them. How can they ever have a positive business or a positive influence on others with this mindset?
Live for the now – the present – and build for your future. It’s bright.
There is no rear-view mirror in the spaceshuttle. You are either going to the moon or you’re done. – Hazen Christensen
